Our protocol

How We Review

No download button goes live on this site until the build behind it has survived our testing bench.

Real phones, not emulators

Every build is installed on physical Android phones covering a spread of manufacturers and Android versions. If an installer step, a permission prompt, or a call behaves differently on real hardware, we catch it here.

Version and file verification

The version number, package name, and file size published on the download page are read from the build itself. We never copy these facts from a store description, and any mismatch pulls the file until it is resolved.

The full install walkthrough

Our reviewer performs the install exactly as a new user would, including the XAPK split-installer step, and documents every screen. That walkthrough becomes the install guide, so the guide can never drift from reality.

Privacy claims get tested

For a privacy messenger this is the heart of the review. We check what permissions the app requests, what network calls it makes during setup and use, and whether its no-data-collection statements hold up in practice.

Calls and messaging under load

Voice notes, file transfers, and voice and video calls are exercised on both strong and throttled connections, because Zangi promises to work where networks are weak and we hold it to that.

Ongoing monitoring

Published builds are re-checked when new versions land. If a download link breaks or a build starts misbehaving, it comes down the same day and the page says so.
