Calls are one of its strongest features, tuned to stay clear on networks where other apps give up. When Zangi calls are not working, the cause is usually permissions, battery optimization, or the network itself. Here are the fixes in order.
No audio on calls
Open Android Settings, find the app, and confirm the microphone permission is granted. Then check that no other app is holding the microphone: close other calling or recording apps completely, not just minimize them. If the other person cannot hear you, the problem is on your mic side; if you cannot hear them, check your media volume and Bluetooth output.
If you are new here, the Zangi homepage has the complete overview.
Calls not connecting
First, confirm both sides have a working data connection; it needs far less bandwidth than most apps, but it needs something. Then exempt the app from battery optimization so Android does not kill its background connection. Aggressive power savers are the most common cause of calls that never ring.
Dropped or robotic audio
Stay on one network during the call instead of hopping between Wi-Fi and mobile data. If the network is genuinely weak, switch the video call to voice-only; the app adapts, but voice needs a fraction of the bandwidth. Our low-data guide has more on getting the most from poor connections.
Video call issues
Grant the camera permission, and make sure no other app is using the camera. If video freezes while audio continues, the connection dipped below video bandwidth; it usually recovers on its own within seconds.
Still stuck
Reinstalling is the last resort: install the fresh XAPK over your copy from the Zangi APK download page, which keeps your chats. If problems persist, email support@zangiapk.com with your phone model and whether the issue is audio, video, or connecting.
