Zangi notifications not working, or arriving minutes late, is frustrating and almost always an Android power-management issue rather than an app bug. These fixes restore instant alerts.
Fix 1: Exempt Zangi from battery optimization
This is the big one. Open Settings, go to battery settings, find the app, and set it to unrestricted or add it to the never-sleeping apps list (the exact path varies by phone maker). Android's default is to doze background apps, which severs the connection It uses to push alerts.
The Zangi Messenger homepage covers everything about the app in one place.
Fix 2: Check notification permission
In the app's app info, confirm notifications are allowed, and check that notification categories inside the app settings are enabled. On some phones each chat type has its own toggle, and a single disabled category silences exactly the messages you care about.
Fix 3: Lock it in recents
Open the recent-apps screen, find the app, and lock it (usually a lock icon or a long-press menu). This stops RAM cleaners and aggressive task killers from swiping it away in the background. Third-party cleaner apps are repeat offenders here; consider removing them.
Fix 4: Data and background settings
Make sure It has background data allowed, including on metered connections if you use data saver. If alerts only arrive on Wi-Fi, background mobile data is the missing piece.
Still delayed
Restart the phone after applying these changes so the new power rules take effect. If a specific contact's messages never alert you, check whether that chat is muted inside the app itself. And if you reinstalled recently, confirm you granted notification permission during the fresh install; it is easy to deny by reflex.
